About

In cooperation with Rady Children’s Hospital, the Oceanside Police Officer’s Association will be putting, for a third year, a team to compete in the 2017 Race Across America.  RAAM is the longest endurance bicycle race in the world and considered the “World’s Toughest Bicycle Race.”

Unlike the world renowned Tour De France, this is not a stage race. The riders and crew will consist of Police Officers, local business owners, family and friends.

Mission

Our team’s mission is to support Rady Children’s Hospital by raising awareness and funds that will ultimately help children in their time of need.

Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego is a 520-bed pediatric care facility providing the largest source of comprehensive pediatric medical services in San Diego, Southern Riverside and Imperial counties. Rady Children’s is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare and is the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center.

In June 2016, U.S. News & World Report ranked Rady Children’s among the best children’s hospitals in the nation in nine pediatric specialties. Rady Children’s is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations to support its mission.

Sponsorship

We are currently looking for sponsors to help us as a team to accomplish our mission.  Our initial goal of $35,000 has been met thanks to generous donations by these sponsors.

This means that every single dollar you donate from now until the race in July will go directly to Rady Children’s Hospital!

With your help our goal will be to meet upwards of $100,000 to be donated.
